Corporate Governance in Emerging Markets: Family-Owned Companies
The FMO Corporate Governance team is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a training course on Corporate Governance in Emerging Markets, focused on the particular challenges of family-owned companies. The interactive training will take place on 7-8 June, at the NH Hotel Den Hagg. The methodology will combine formal presentations with interactive sessions as well as the practical application of the FMO CG toolkit, designed to assess CG of investee companies to ultimately end up with a tailor-made action plan. The course will cover: the nuts and bolts of corporate governance; (ii) corporate governance in emerging markets; (iii) the FMO’s approach to corporate governance and an introduction to the FMO’s Corporate Governance Toolkit; (iv) the special governance risks and opportunities of family-controlled companies; (v) case studies and a role play exercise. Attendance costs Euro 1250.00 for staff of EDFIs (and other DFIs, upon request).
