14th Annual DFI Corporate Governance Conference
Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the DFI Corporate Governance Working Group, it is my great pleasure to invite you to the 14th Annual DFI Corporate Governance Conference.
The Conference will be hosted by IDC, DBSA and the AFDB and will be held at the headquarters of the IDC, Johannesburg South Africa March 25-26, 2020.
The Corporate Governance Development Framework (CGDF)—adopted by 35 Development Finance Institutions (DFIs)—is a common approach to address corporate governance risks and opportunities in loan and equity investment transactions. The Framework sets the basis for common commitments, policies and implementation tools.
The first day of the conference (March 25) will be open to outside guests to introduce new corporate governance trends, developments and build bridges with the investment and governance communities. The format of the conference is meant to be very interactive: guest speakers will introduce topics for discussion and there will be plenty of space for questions and interventions by participants.
The second day (March 26) is only open to signatory institutions of the CGDF and will focus on the CGDF implementation process. We will share experiences and challenges faced in our work, follow-up on the progress achieved to date and identify priorities for the year to come.
We invite you to click here to register your attendance.
Attached is a copy of the logistical guide to help you plan your trip. We will follow up in the next few weeks with a detailed agenda of the event.
On behalf of the DFI Corporate Governance Working Group, we hope you can join us and look forward to seeing you in Johannesburg.
Sincerely,
Jasper Veel
Corporate Governance Officer (FMO)
Chair of the CG DFI Working Group (CGDF
